I chose this key because my old Windows 7 laptop didn't have Bluetooth. I just wanted to use my BT headphones so I could watch movies in bed without disturbing my partner. It was a little fiddling to install as Windows first tries to install it using autodetect. I had to undo this action and use the installation and drivers on the small CD that was included. It installed without much hassle and when I rebooted I had Bluetooth, hooray! Since this dongle was installed last, its drivers will be loaded last, so you'll have to wait a bit before it wakes up to recognize the headphones. I don't turn them on until I see drivers loading in the system tray. After launching, it detects all BT devices around me, earphones, mobile phones, printers and spouse's mini iPad. I've noticed that the signal drops out at times and haven't checked the range yet, but it works fine for my purposes. It's hard to beat at $7.99.
