Review on Instreamer - Efficient IP Audio Encoder for High-Quality Streaming by Jose Mcdaniel

Update: I recently bought a Barix Exstreamer 100 and compared the sound quality of this instreamer to the sound of the Extreamer and I have to say it's negligible. I still can't get the metadata to work, which is why they lost the star. I'm now good at IP audio, SHOUTcast, internet radio etc but this has made setup difficult for me, manuals are not up to date but customer support has been helpful. I finally got it working, I like the fact that it takes 5 seconds or less to restart. I'm using it in an internet radio environment to stream to SHOUTcast but not satisfied with the quality yet, I have to "play around" with the settings again, wish I had to. I would like the metadata to be sent to the streaming server, but I still need to get an RS-232 USB cable. It lost a star for configuration and one for quality.
