Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Xbox 360 Experience with Zoom for Kinect by Sean Purnomo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Conclusion: I'm glad I bought it.

BEFORE ZOOMI kinect was mounted on a 60 inch big screen TV. The room has 2.70 m of space from the TV to the sofa, and nothing is in the way. This worked well for single player games like Child of Eden or Fruit Ninja with hand tracking. It worked terribly for me when I was playing Dance Central. He always thought my knees were my legs. I think part of the reason he couldn't see me is because I'm such a tall guy (6'4", 350 lbs). Sofa. I don't think he saw the floor clearly. MIT SCALE The Dance Center worked great. My tall frame didn't look like a normal sized player. The single player fruit ninja worked well, although the player was noticeably smaller on screen so you had to move around more. The bonus was, that it seemed more responsive and you could use your legs a lot better to kick fruit (super fun). The two player Fruit Ninja was a disaster. Our players shadows kept appearing and disappearing and it was incredibly annoying. I have Kinect Sports tried it with zoom, 2 players.I've never played it without zoom so I don't have a point of comparison. However, it seemed accurate enough In volleyball, it forced my player to jump at every step.I can confirm, which was said in another review that zoom makes hand tracking worse. I experienced this when navigating menus and using the Kinect hub on the dashboard. Also when zooming in, I had to turn off one of the lights in the room because of backlight. That wasn't a problem without kinect. Conclusion: I'm glad I bought it, if only to play at the dance center. I will toggle zoom on and off depending on what game I'm playing.

Pros
  • Good performance
Cons
  • Fairly ok but...
