Post knee surgery. I needed a solid yet comfortable surface to carry and write on my book or tablet. The pillow or serving tray just didn't work. Was glad to find this relatively inexpensive desktop computer! A generous area with extras such as room for a mobile phone and elastic for pen, paper etc. The padding is firm but comfortable on the knees. It is available in multiple colors and patterns and the lap table has a small fabric handle for easy portability. I still use this very handy lap table, even though I've recovered from surgery!
