My basement is split between a working workshop (aka StevieShop) and a finished laundry room full of women's tools that StevieShop built. The distance between them varies in height due to duct work and plumbing so a standard door would not fit. Also, I still need the width to move entire panels of wood and drywall. The answer is a ribbon curtain. It was very easy to install. I made a special head for mounting 2x4 and 2x1. Painted it black to match the color of the ceiling. Cabinet bushing/washers, overlap each section by 2-4 inches depending on section. They even made a curve at one end. Trim each section to just a fraction above the epoxy and tile floor. The number of rolls of 150 feet was ideal. I only have one length left. The overall width for me was 11.5 feet with each strip being 77-83 inches tall. really shocked to find it blocks the sound. Ens Ens Ens by StevieMusic is noticeably muted in the laundry room. The isolation factor is also noticeable as StevieShop is cooler. I just need to make a tie so I can go over larger materials if needed without pressing the PVC. k and appear to be of very good quality. They were extremely easy to cut with a razor or scissors. The women's workspace remains much cleaner, now free of saws and StevieDust.
