I have bought and returned many watches because the watch sits on my bedside table inches from my face and the display was so bright it kept me awake . The darkest setting on this watch is still bright, but with my eyes closed, the orange numbers don't bother me at all. I have 2 problems: First, even though it comes with a battery, the battery was dead. (I returned the first watch but then when the same thing happened with the second one I decided to just buy a pack of lithium batteries which are really cheap). The second issue is that I expected the clock to work even during power outages since it has battery backup. It is not. What it does is automatically reset to the correct time when you turn it on again, so you don't have to reset it manually.
