Review on Autel MaxiCOM MK808: 2021 Newest OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scanner with 25+ Maintenance Functions and All System Diagnosis by Phil Show

Multifunctional, from a respected brand.

I've used Autel brand scanners for the past few years, starting with a TPMS scanner that quickly identified an intermittent sensor problem. Based on this experience I started using their OBDII scan tools. I jumped at the chance to get the MK808. Although I consider myself an advanced hobbyist, I have a good friend who is a professional mechanic. It uses the Bluetooth version of the very similar Autel scanner, so I was already familiar with the basic setup and use of these tools. I also knew this was his favorite scanner to use, which is strong endorsement. The MK808 comes in a plastic training case with everything you need: a memory card, a power supply with cable and a connecting cable for the diagnostic port. While the more basic scanners are vehicle powered, the MK808 has an internal battery that is said to provide 4.5 hours of continuous use. The build quality is excellent, the 7-inch screen is easy to read in different lighting conditions, the menu system is easy to use and intuitive, and the quad-core processor is fast. VIN technology that identifies the year, make and model of the vehicle. Now you can run general diagnostics or scan specific systems. I urgently needed this tool, which also gives you an idea of the variety of functions. С помощью этого инструмента я смог отключите потерянный ключ , The problem is solved. I could then command the car to rebalance the car's HVTB, the large hybrid battery in the back. Doing this regularly should prolong the life of the HVTB and increase its performance. With this tool I can bleed the brakes of the car. Ford charged more than $200 to have its devices plugged in for this purpose. Then I connected it to my Lexus. The automatic VIN detection also worked. While this machine had no issues, I went through the menu to see if I could use it to program additional buttons. The dealer asks for more than 100€ for this. The MK808 comes with one year of free updates, after which the current cost is $129 for an annual subscription. I hasten to add that even after the subscription expires, the tool is still fully functional and you can only renew it every two years if you wish (or on any schedule). This scanner has more features than I'll likely ever need, but it's nice to know the functionality is there. Balancing my hybrid battery and disabling the missing key were two things I couldn't do with my more basic scanners (Autels too), and being able to bleed my own brakes would save me over two hundred dollars. These things easily justify the additional investment in a scanner of this caliber, as opposed to the $150-200 Autel I've used. Autel is a very well established and respected brand in the diagnostic tool industry. The equipment is of high quality, the software runs stably and is updated regularly. The MK808 offers advanced features that fully justify its price.
