I blew a head gasket between two cylinders.
On a 1993 k1500 5.7l tbi I had a blown head gasket between two cylinders. This caused low compression in each cylinder as well as knocking. I replaced the cylinder head gasket with this one, the compression is normal, there is no knocking. I believe the knocking is due to combustion from one cylinder flowing through a blown gasket into another and causing pre-ignition i.e. spark knock.
