I ordered these Timken bearings to replace some cheap Chinese junk bearings that failed spectacularly on my Toro spindles after 30 hours of use. But upon arrival I quickly found that I was replacing a set of cheap Chinese bearings with another set of cheap Chinese bearings. The only difference is that they came in a nice Timken box. I have used Timkens countless times in the past because they were known for quality bearings. If I had known they were made in China I would not have bought them. Or I would buy some other Chinese bearings that cost 1/8 the cost and were probably made in the same factory. However, the bearings appear to be made out of some sort of metal and fit into the hole they were pressed into. High praise indeed. Time will tell if they last more than 30 hours before exploding like the original bearings.
