I bought this because I didn't have the right winter jacket. We're vacationing in Chicago and planning a winter trip to Germany, so I thought it was time to have a good jacket on hand. This jacket is so warm, so comfortable and I love it. I really like that it has a glove (not really a glove because it doesn't cover the fingers) on the sleeves that helps keep the sleeves in place. The hood is detachable, which is very handy when not needed. There is a velcro that closes the zipper and protects against cold and moisture. I didn't get it very dirty, but in the few spots I saw, I cleaned it with a warm, damp cloth. All in all, it's totally worth the cost.
