Works well with Holley 3310, instructions require more work

Replaced the hand throttle on my Holley 3310. I like the simplicity. But I don't like the fact that it starts opening as soon as it gets power from the ignition, so I plan on wiring it across an oil pressure switch so it only gets power when the engine starts. There are a few helpful images in the instructions but a few more could be used. And one thing in particular was a bit inaccurate. The included fast idle lever did not match the part illustration in the manual, so determining its orientation required additional work. There was also talk of a small membrane that needed to be removed and replaced with a small spacer, but it took me some time to figure out what the instruction was referring to. I would suggest improving the guide. I would also add a note suggesting using Holly's fuel pump oil pressure sensor to only provide current when the engine is running.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
