I ordered these clips to attach a 21 foot long LED cable (silicone type 6 x 12mm) to the wall. They work pretty well. The clips are small and transparent, making them almost invisible, especially when the LED is on. I used 1 ascender for every 6-12 inches of rope and it holds up great, the plastic is strong and doesn't flex under weight. The clamps do not "compress" the rope, so they are not suitable for mounting the light on the ceiling, but it works great on the wall. The smallest command strips were too big and I didn't have an electric screwdriver. Lesson learned, don't do what I did. The staples held up to my terrible hammering skills and in most cases I got away with 1 nail per staple, but I would recommend using tiny screws to save yourself the trouble of driving nails into the narrow channel between the staples. 5 stars because they work as advertised and this was the easiest way to make an LED wall sign. Hardware stores near me don't have anything quite like it that will work for this type of rope.
