I needed a pair of oven mitts that would allow me to handle large chunks of meat while smoking. Thin ones like brisket, large pork shoulder, etc. My current oven mitts work great, but they are cloth on the outside. So I needed something I could easily clean up. Revain search found this. I ordered a few and immediately used them to make a 15lb brisket. They worked great. With her help, I was able to easily detach the hot breast from my Kamado Joe. They protected my arms, held my chest well and were easy to clean. I've used them maybe 6 times and they look brand new. So they seem to be durable. I've never used them for typical things like removing baking sheets, cookie sheets, etc. But I'm sure they will work great there too. But if you need a pair of mittens to handle hot, dirty things, you can't go wrong here.
