Before this article I bought a Micca Speck G2 to play movies from an external hard drive (Seagate, 2TB). I used DVDFAB paid software to copy my original DVDs. Some of them were whole disc copies, and some were just movie copies. I wanted to save extra space. HD. I moved those movies to this drive. When I plugged this USB stick into my laptop, VLC was able to read and play these files. But for some reason Micca played movies (completely copied) and not the rest (just movies with no extras). The player displays titles in the menu. When I decided to just copy the movie, it stopped and went back to the menu. So it was annoying. I chose this brand. I have used several AGPTek MP3 players and have generally been happy with them. Well, these two products and remote controls look completely different. The interface is identical! They either use the same technology or they are made by the same company. AGPTEK does the same. It doesn't just play copies of movies. If I just burn copies of movies from my hard drive onto blank DVDs using DVDFAB, they play fine on a standalone DVD player. Watch out for this problem!
