I have 2 boys aged 8 and 12 who wear them under shorts almost every day. We live in Utah and we have our fair share of cold days. Both boys play soccer and train 2-3 times a week, preferring to wear leggings when training outdoors. We've tried Under Armour, Nike, the Scheels brand, Sportsmens department store, Costco, etc. We walk like crazy in leggings. In our experience, Under Armor has lasted the longest, but it still has knee holes and is quite expensive. Admittedly, they wear out quicker on us because they get rougher than my boys' normal use. I wasn't as concerned about the cost but about finding a pair that would actually last more than five uses. So far it's been great! In terms of weight, they are most comparable to the UA brand, but significantly cheaper. They still wear out, but better than most. I highly recommend these if you're looking for warm, slightly heavier leggings. The best deal in terms of value for money!
