It did the job. Perfect grip on both sides of the camera (I bought the left and right side) and the dark wood finish looks great next to my black camera, black cage, black monitor, you get the idea. The only thing that bothers me is that the screws loosen if you don't tighten them very firmly. You have to really tighten it to have a secure hold. Tap it hard enough and you're done. I would recommend it to those who intend to take it off and on many times. Considering I'm having the same issue on both the left and right side, I would definitely recommend this to anyone planning on using this in a more permanent application. The handle was quite thick for my hand size. So comfort was perfect. The warmth of the wooden handle made it easy to hold for long periods of time.
