Okay, there are a few issues with these headphones. Whether these issues are major or minor depends on what you consider important. Also, you really need to consider these issues in terms of cost. Are they as good as most $100 headsets or more? Of course not! These are not audiophile headphones. But they're very affordable and much better quality than most of the sub-$30 headphones I've tried. Here are a few things that struck me: First, they were wrapped in foam in a nice protective box. Inside the box are the headphones, a short USB AB cable for charging, a short 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, a nice faux leather case for storage and a not-so-great manual in many languages . What is not included is a power adapter for charging. But most of us have an old USB A or B cell phone charger in our desk drawer. This is the preferred charging method. You can use a PC with a USB port to charge it, but it will likely take much longer to charge that way. Now my first impression of them is that they are much larger than I expected. They will completely cover most ears. You can feel the vacuum when you put them on your ears. The cups are comfortable, the pressure on the head is minimal. If you plan on using them on more than one wearer, you'll need to clean them thoroughly after each session, since with full ear coverage, you'll typically sweat where they cover your head. Also, if you want your mugs to be in good condition, try not to wear your glasses when you have them on your head. Glasses can dent over time or damage the cups, which can cause them to fit over the ears. Both the cups and headband are nicely padded and comfortable after hours of wear. There is a metal strip on the headband to press and keep them on the head. Although some parts look like chrome, they're just plastic. But these are very attractive headphones that look like a more expensive pair. There are several LEDs on the sides and bottom of the cups. This confused me when I first tried to figure out what the lights mean. The instructions don't quite match the one on the headphones. But after a short use it is noticeable. Another thing to look out for is the volume, track, and pause/play buttons. To adjust the volume, you need to hold the buttons down, as one click changes tracks. I'm not crazy about it. If you get hit with a really loud, painful volume, you should hold down the volume and wait for it to change slowly. If you do not adjust the volume before putting on the headphones, your hearing may be damaged. Then -Track or Volume Down is at the top of the controls. Whereas +track and louder are at the bottom of the controls. Completely outside the norm. Also, this triangular button is difficult to tell apart from the rest of the right headset when touched. If you rest your head on the pillow with the right side of the headset, you're most likely activating the volume rocker or forcing it to attempt a new pairing. He needed a small raised symbol that you could feel instead of having to take it off to see how it would adjust. I had many problems with that horrible little triangle button causing the opposite effect or blasting me with volume when I was already trying to turn it off. I partially solved this problem by taking two tiny dots of paper I had from stationery and attaching them to the top and bottom corners of the ribbon. This gives these areas a slightly raised area that I can feel. So now I can easily and quickly adjust the volume without pressing the buttons I don't need. But I still can't use them when my head is in the pillow because the triangular button is accidentally pressed. The triangular button is the worst part of them. As for the mic and noise-cancellation, I just didn't have the need and didn't use it enough to judge. I just don't notice any difference. Another thing I find negative and the main reason I took a star off the rating is using the 3.5mm cable as wired headphones when the battery dies. Typically with Bluetooth headphones, if you run out of battery you can just plug them into a source with a 3.5mm cable and keep listening, but tethered for now. Unfortunately, if this headset isn't charged, you won't be able to use the 3.5mm cable at all. In most cases, this defeats the purpose of using 3.5mm jacks. 3.5mm jacks require charging to work. Now about the quality and volume of the sound. They can be made quite loud, also depending on the volume of the source. You obviously don't always get sound. If your audio source becomes very quiet, it may take a second or two for Bluetooth to start listening again. This can cause pings or similar tones to be lost. This can be a problem if your music, video, or source has a lot of near-zero volume followed by short chunks of audio. This is what many Bluetooth headsets feature. Also, the output tends to be a bit boomy and the fundamental frequencies don't sound that good on them. When listening to music, you should turn down the source bass level a little to avoid bass distortion. The mids and highs seem to be reproduced close to the source level. And there's another problem with this headset getting out of sync with the source (especially on TV or movies where speech is the primary audio). When you experience video crashes, it's not uncommon for them to get out of sync, and sometimes they even get disconnected from the source. This happens more often when the charge on them is less. Usually the solution is to stop the video source, turn off the headphones completely and play the video correctly through regular non-bluetooth speakers for a few seconds. Most likely, the audio sync problem will go away. Then turn your headphones back on and it's likely that the headphones will now re-sync. Not having enough power can cause them to go out of sync again after a few listens. Now about how long they will play. With a good, strong audio source signal that isn't distorted at the source, I get 10-12 hours of use before the Bluetooth connection starts to suffer. If you have a weaker source, such as For example, when there are many TV or video streaming sources, you may find that the headset's performance drops more rapidly when trying to maintain a signal connection. I've found that my Firesticks and Tivo Streams only last 4-6 hours before sync issues become an issue. Most of the time, these sources don't have very strong Bluetooth signals, so getting closer to the source can help. I've also found that those headphones that are about 15 feet or more from the source can also cause problems. The transmitters and receivers of most Bluetooth devices are limited to no more than 20 feet, so this is normal BT behavior. And if you need complete silence for those around you while listening, this may not work for you. They are designed to produce good sound but be audible to someone else within 10 feet or so. As such, they don't make your listening completely private to those in the same room. So if you judge them as audiophiles in the long run, you probably won't like them. But these headphones are not for music lovers. It's about how well they perform for less than $30. I think these are great headphones for this price range. They pair with lots of devices fairly easily (just one pairing at a time) and even work with older non-Bluetooth devices via the stereo jacks. If you use them with several different devices, you should disconnect them from the first device before trying to connect them to the second. I think these are high quality bluetooth headsets with above average sound quality. But you may find the volume controls annoying. At the time of writing this article, I've only been using them for a few days. So I can't comment on the durability of this product. I will come back in a few weeks to update this review. I hope this information helps you in making a decision. Update 7-4-21: I use these headphones quite a bit now. I decided the head was in the pillow by simply swapping the left and right sides of the headphones so the side with no controls would sink into the pillow. I fell asleep in them as they are not uncomfortable at all. They have the side effect of reducing noise around you that can wake you up or keep you awake. I'm running a white noise video or audio file that automatically pauses after a few hours. If you leave them on your head all night, you may feel pain where they grabbed your head, but not too much. But a quick change in volume is not. This is because you need to hold down the button for a few seconds for it to work. So make sure they fit well before putting them on your ears. I think they are worth what I paid for, except I have to think about how to use them. They are not very intuitive and it takes some time to get used to using them properly. But still worth the price.
