Through no fault of your own, this product was primarily designed to protect children from banging their little fingers in doors. A great idea! However, we were looking for something that would keep my temperamental 3 year old daughter from slamming the door in anger. This of course keeps the door from doing this, but unfortunately my child's anger outweighed the durability of this foam product. I threw a tantrum the first day I used them and they both broke in half (yes I even put BOTH on the door at once). They still stay and prevent the action of the clapping for now, so I'm hoping those poor bastards stick around there until my daughter internalizes the dissatisfaction with the clapping and loses interest. If you just need it to protect your mini fingers, wrap yourself up.
