Lots of plastic here. The range isn't the best. I verified that I was in a small room about 30 feet away and there was a lot of audio dropouts. These mics also seem to drain their batteries relatively quickly compared to others I've used. If you are on a very tight budget this might be for you. Otherwise I would say rent or buy something better
