Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced European Standard Anodized Aluminum Extrusion Power Transmission Products for Linear Motion Applications by Sammie Rodriguez

Good enough for many purposes

I think I would buy them again. The savings over buying a branded 2040 alloy are not large enough to justify going off specification and uncertified alloys etc. Be sure to check out @GearFreak's analysis in his review if you're running it with stock devices. He did a great job of identifying and quantifying the specific attachment issues you are likely to encounter. You are impressive right now. I couldn't get a .0015" feeler gauge to even start under them on the record surface. And the length is 600 mm accurate to hundredths of a millimeter. I had small notches big enough to raise a burr that needed trimming. , difficult to make without removing nearby anodizing. This cannot have happened after they were packed, so they may not have been handled with care at some point in the process. Like I said, it will work for me this time, but next time will spend a little more and get profiles with a spec sheet and a brand that will back their reputation by upholding published standards and meeting all of their marketing needs.

Pros
  • πŸ‘ WIDE APPLICATION: 2040 T extrusion molds are perfect for 3D printer, CNC, DIY, etc.
Cons
  • Very expensive
