We have terrazzo floors and three cats. Cats seem to enjoy throwing up from time to time. I clean up the mess and then wipe the area down with a hot mop. The pads fit very well and clean well. Just throw them in the washer and dryer when they get too dirty. As dirty pads get, I can say they do a great job of absorbing mess. They behave essentially the same as the originally supplied pads. They go just like the originals.
