I just needed something to prevent deep scratches on the laptop's metal body. Instead, that plastic, yes, the case's plastic cover, breaks into pieces every now and then. It didn't even last a year. I would suggest a case cover made out of some kind of rubber rather than flimsy plastic. I miss my old body kit but it looked worn out. The thing scratches and cracks like a fragile dry plant leaf. The lower body kit also slides off due to the lack of a grab bar on the back. Finally, despite the fact that the body kit is black, the white legs had to be taped back. What a mess!
