works good but not real 18x20

Filter works good but isn't true 18x20x1 is actually 17x20x1. So when my air conditioner/oven was running it didn't make that horribly loud noise due to vibration as it didn't fit snugly. I had to attach foam tape to keep it from vibrating. now it's almost quiet, but not quite. I don't know if all brands are an inch shorter. but i will look for another brand
