Review on Schwinn Day Tripper and Porter Cargo Bike Trailer: Tow Behind with Multiple Colors - No Kids or Animals Allowed by Robert Wood

Good for short rides, bad for steep climbs

I took this trailer on a two day, 140 mile bike trail up the Oregon coast after a few much smaller test rides. Instructions I've probably seen before. - Nice compact trailer - Tight-fitting lid means no items lost while driving - No mechanical issues while driving - Easily folds for storage. The Bad: - The weight of the trailer was really noticeable on the steep passes. I think adding a paneer rack to my road bike would be much better. - I've always been concerned about the width of the trailer in tight areas with minimal shoulders. - The flag flew off the flagpole twice. I lost it for the second time. It was difficult to get the bike and trailer into the hotel elevator etc. Depends on your needs: I think this trailer is great for going shopping or to a picnic, but I don't want to lug it around again for long drives with steep climbs.
