I bought this unit so my parents could use a regular home phone without the added expense of a regular home phone. The main feature that interested me was the Link 2 Cell option. It was very easy to set up and worked exactly as I had hoped. I can pair the system with a mobile phone and then make and receive calls through the system without touching the mobile phone. The system also notifies you of missed calls. Since the connection is made via Bluetooth, the mobile phone can simply be picked up and taken with you and when you return, it immediately reconnects to the home telephone system via Bluetooth. It's a great system and there's just one small thing I wish would be supported. It has an answering machine as part of the device, but if you are using the link2cell feature you will not be able to sync your mobile phone voicemail with the device's answering machine. The troubleshooting section of the documentation states that the answering machine does not support cellular voicemail connections. It is important to note that the virtual machine is still available on the mobile phone, it just cannot be accessed or controlled from the Panasonic device itself. This would be the icing on the cake for a 5 star rating. But it's still a great system and I'm very happy with it.
