I bought this for my daughter's butt pad as the orthodontic box broke after a month. It is similar to a retainer but is placed on the inside of the lower teeth. Being 8 years old, the pad is quite small - small enough to fall out of the 2.5" x 0.5" opening in the front. I love the clip and she loves the color. It's strong enough and closes securely enough for work. The plastic loop will eventually break, but waddaya wants a few bucks? A curved strip of duck tape (no less owl patterned) held the hole in place, so problem solved!
