Review on Hori Split Pad Pro Case - Portable Hard Shell Carrying Bag with Monster Hunter Rise Pattern & 10 Game Card Slots for Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro Controller - Black by Lance Levatte

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice pattern and suitable for split pad. But not suitable for more accessories as written!

The Hori Split Pad Pro is a massive improvement over the standard JoyCon-based wearable device for Switch. With bigger grips, bigger buttons, and upgraded analog sticks, it improves comfort and playability, but it's also BIG and difficult to carry! So you definitely need a case that is made especially for him. Grab this Monster Hunter case designed for Switch + Split Pad Pro. The bottom of the case is specially shaped for the device + controller and does its job very well by covering all the nooks and crannies of the split pad. There's a mesh pocket on the top of the case, which the listing says contains small accessories like the JoyCon, cables, and even (in one picture) what looks like a JoyCon stylus. There is a flap in the center that can hold multiple playing cards if you play physical rather than digital games. In practice, the top mesh pocket can't really hold much - I've tried inserting JoyCons and it makes the case very difficult to close, requiring more pressure than I wanted. As such, I can only carry the Switch itself in a bag and possibly a charging cable (but not a power bank) when I was hoping to carry at least a few other accessories - that's 2 stars for me. down, even if it is otherwise a nice case with a beautiful dragon motif.

Pros
  • Hori Carry Case
Cons
  • Expensive
