Bought in July, have been using it ever since. I just got another one I bought last week. I love this product. Good for what I need it for (cold backup). Very durable enclosure for USB 3.1 Gen 2. Good price. Had no problems. Installation is very simple (essentially a plug and play device). I'm very happy with the product, which is why I bought another one. I tested 3 different hard drives from 2 different brands and a SATA SSD. All 4 drives performed as expected with no noticeable slowdowns/overheads during 3 iterations of CrystalDiskMark for each drive. So the controller seems pretty reliable. If you don't need to take the drive out of the case, or at least not too often (for applications like cold backup, home media storage, gaming console, etc.), this is a very good choice. USB and USB Type-C) are too short, I mean very short. Although they are only about 80 cm long, I can get by with them quite well for the price of the product. I just use the longer cables I already have. For me, the strength of the product lies in its USB 3.1 Gen 2 and 12 TB support. Also that I can screw discs into the housing tightly and cleanly. The aluminum case is a big plus in terms of heat dissipation. Overall this was a very good purchase for me.
