I wanted to screw something to the spare tire, so I was ready to damage the tire just in case. I've been driving on tires since adulthood now and it's been decades since I've had a flat tire but in case I had to get one, on modern cars with 100# or more of torque on the lugs there was a tire changer with standard angle not enough to remove the bar. Just remember to tighten your cleats to spec when you get home or to the shop after a tire change. Older cars with steel rims only used 60# of torque and were easier to remove, a must when space is limited on modern cars compared to what the manufacturer gives you.
