It's well made and generally works as intended but there is a caveat. Works best when you can lay the binoculars completely flat and mount them securely. But for myself (like probably most users) I have to adjust my Nikon Trailblaze binoculars (which don't seem to have a tripod mount) to a comfortable angle to adjust the distance between my eyes. Then the binoculars go out of plane and have to be fixed with a bar with some tension, otherwise they will go flat. This works well at low viewing angles, but the binoculars can slip and fall at steep angles, such as when looking at the night sky. You may need to back them up for extra security. I've decided to keep this mount anyway.
