Review on 🎙️ Enhanced USB Microphone: Maono AU-A04+ Cardioid Condenser Podcast Mic with 192kHz/24bit, Dual Mic Holders for Livestreaming, Voice Over, YouTube, Gaming, ASMR by Joe Montalvo

I do A LOT of video editing and (later) audio recording. I had dozens of mics from most major manufacturers. I have been using Rhode and Blue microphones for several years. I'm not just talking about inexpensive Rhode microphones, but specifically the NTG3 ($700), NTK ($530), NTR Ribbon Mic ($800), and Podmic ($100). As for the blue mic, I have a Bottlerocket ($1000), Yeti X ($169), Yeti ($129), Yeti Caster ($200), and two Snowballs ($70) with additional shocks. A friend of mine who streams on Twitch kept mentioning this brand of Maono (pronounced "Mono") and I dismissed his opinion for several months. However, over time I noticed that the sound quality of his microphone on Twitch was excellent. Finally, I checked out Maono's website and was impressed by the technology that comes at such a phenomenal price. So, in early November 2019, I decided to purchase the MAONO A425 Plus Kit. It was about $65 back then. This is not a typo. For this price you get a high-quality 192 kHz/24-bit cardioid PC condenser microphone, a pop filter, a windproof case, a separate podcast stand and an additional stand for table mounting. If that doesn't melt you, then the professional sound quality the mic produces should. All the mics I've bought in the past came with almost NOTHING. No pop filter, no desk mount/stand, no foam mic sleeve. The mic has a heavy, sturdy look and looks like my thousand dollar mics. I can hear ZERO audible difference in recording compared to my professional mics. This mic is just amazing. I've been using it for 6 months now with no problems. My USB Blue mics, which cost three times as much, often had annoying random disconnects. Logging into certain applications causes Blue Microphones to no longer be the default recording device on Windows AND Mac OS. It was so embarrassing. Not with this Maono mic. It just works. I've never had a single issue across hundreds of recordings, dozens of client projects, and hundreds of streams on Twitch. I am consistently amazed by the quality of this mic and the amazing price, and it hurts that I have paid so much for other mics that just don't live up to their overpriced prices. Maono has a new client for life.
