Love this labeler! I've had another type of dymo (long, narrow) for at least 15 years, but this one is much easier to use. The QWERTY key layout makes entering a keyword quick and easy. No more searching for the right letter as most of us are so used to typing on the keyboard that any other letter layout is awkward! Choosing font style, size etc. as well as special characters and features like a text frame is easier with the function keys. There's also a digit lock feature, which is a big plus over Dymo's other style. I make labels like crazy and even with a cheap set of batteries they still work with no visible fading of the writing. This model also uses 2 less batteries than another dymo I've had. I like the screen size, it's easy to see what all your settings are at a glance. The only reason I replaced my old Dymo was because after 10+ years of use the LCD failed :( I hope this lasts 10+ years. Another plus point of Dymo over other labeling machines is the price and the availability of tape/label cartridges I can buy 2 packs from Wally-World (Walmart) for around $7-8 Please note NO INK, the paper is heat sensitive so if you have trouble with garbled words check the batteries first! Also on the first sticker I printed the writing went out of the middle of the tape this was my own fault when installing the tape cartridge make sure you push it all the way in until you hear a sound I will used to the old style where you just pop once I put the cartridge in and heard the click I was ready to go Another nice feature of this model, although I doubt it le that I will ever use it It's memory. You have the option to save up to 9 shortcuts. Why should they do this? I don't know, but I think someone will find this feature handy. Instead of the memory I would have preferred a backlit screen, that's the ONLY downside to these labellers, if you're in a poorly lit room then the screen is almost invisible.
