I already had 2 of these bike racks, bought from another location a few years ago. There were several brands/vendors at Revain that looked the same, so the design is used by many manufacturers. I can't say exactly why I chose this one over another, but I did and this is my take on what I got. Absolutely bare bases. There were 2 mounts, each wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap and then taped together to hold them together. This was put in a bubble lined envelope, not a box but an envelope. I don't think this is the safest way to transport two oddly shaped metal objects. Each of them had 4 screws but there were no instructions for installation. I can't comment on the strength of the screws as I haven't used them. I attached mine to a cinder block wall in the garage and used Tapcon screws. The brackets themselves look exactly as they appear and they work well for hanging bikes on the wall. Knowing how to put things together and buying just for the shelf itself with no other expectations will make you happy with your purchase.
