Compared to other size 5 shoes, this size 5 shoe was a size 4 of other shoes. It's also hard stuff. Although my son loves the squeaker. I didn't find it too loud. It's a squeaker so not sure what people are expecting. The first pair I got had the tweeter stop working the same day so I switched. The second pair, a squeaker, broke after the son walked through the mud for a while. Maybe dust got in there. Fortunately, they come with additional tweeters. So not great quality. But I liked the way they look and my son loves them so personally I'm happy with the purchase.
