Thanks to everyone who said the teal and brown sidekick plates work with the old sidekick because they work! I have an old version of the Ellison Sidekick just like the red Sizzix Sidekick and it works! Clear sidekick plates will not work with thin wafer dies as only brown or teal plates will cut thin metal dies. The colored plates are thicker than the clear plates. It needs to cut metal stamping, no matter who makes thin metal stamping. I lost my old sidekick adapter, but I read that the old adapter, which is no longer for sale, cuts thin metal dies along with clear sheets.
