Absolutely not sheer. Material is of good guality, a little heavier for the warm summer months but I still wear them. Very comfortable! I have 3 pair in 3 different colors. 2 I purchased in a large as I was finding other similar items to run small but these do not. Larges are a little big but not some much I can't wear them. Leg length on the large comes to my ankles. Most recent I purchased a medium and they are perfect. The length is a little long, slightly below mid calf. On me most pants of this nature are due to my leg length and not the pants. Overall I love these! Would recommend!
