Bubble in compass/navigator or basic Steiner Marine binoculars As Good

I have Steiner Marine and Steiner Commander binoculars. Both 7X50 binoculars are designed for use at sea as the 7x magnification is about what is recommended on a wavy sea deck when trying to focus. A Steiner Marine pair is the cheapest they sell. Steiner Commander is the most expensive they sell. The performance is identical. Lifespan is currently unknown. The compass on Commander, which is obviously not a fixed part of the increase, has a bubble and rises from time to time, which is annoying. I'm assuming this pair is a factory second. If I had to do it again, I'd buy Pansonic Technostabis instead of Commanders. But I just wanted the best Steiner money can buy. Looking back, I think a Navigator or even my entry-level pair of Steiner Marines would have been spot on.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • I have problems
