Review on Duracell Powermat Devices Compatible Black by Charles Mathews

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The great price doesn't outweigh the effort.

The price of the Duracell Powermat is incredibly attractive compared to other wireless charging options, especially considering that this model can charge two devices at the same time. This product has many advantages, but one serious inconvenience finally made me give up after a few years. As for the pros, the price is just huge. Being able to charge two devices with a single stand is also great as it only takes up one spot on an outlet and eliminates cord clutter. The design is also very good. Rubber feet on the bottom keep the pad firmly in place wherever you put it, lights on the side indicate successful pairing but won't light up in a dark room, and a sound indicating charging is also helpful , if you can. not seeing the light in a brightly lit room. There's also a slight magnetic attraction that should help guide the device in place. However, this magnetic attraction does not seem to be strong enough. In the couple of years that I've had this charging pad, I've constantly struggled to get it to charge my devices. I put the device down, the connection tone sounds and then immediately the disconnection tone. Then I usually have to re-insert my device 3-4 more times before it successfully charges my phone. On rare occasions, I've also had an occasional shutdown between 5 and 30 minutes after initial startup. This happens without any touch or movement (vibration on the phone has been turned off). This can be fixed if I'm still near the charger while playing a reinstall game, but it's problematic when I'm away or sleeping. There was a problem loading various devices. The value is okay, but it's not enough to continue the fight. Maybe you don't have the same problems as me with a smaller or lighter device. However, I would not recommend using the Duracell Powermat for either the Motorola Moto X or the Motorola Moto Z Force.
