This pod comes in two parts and is a bit odd to zip together but easy enough. I bought a heating pad for my two Cornish Rex kittens as they have very little hair. Nine of us liked the heating pad immediately. My cats will go to a den where it is not warm. After 20 minutes of plugging in, I put my hand on the panel and it barely reached room temperature. Since many Q&A answers said that the animal should lie on the pillow for 10 minutes to warm up, during this time I pressed it with my hand and the temperature did not change. I've had this bed for a few months now and my cats prefer to sleep on the couch. This week I finally bought another temperature controlled heating pad to use instead and the cats are practically living in it which was the original goal! So if you want to buy one, don't waste your money on an extra heating pad and buy one separately.
