Review on πŸ”‘ KeylessOption Uncut Ignition Chipped Key Transponder Blank for Toyota Dot Chip - High-Quality Replacement by Thimothy Purnell

Works on Toyota Sequoia 2006!

We just bought a used 2006 Toyota Sequoia Limited and of course it only had one key. I took this to the local Ace hardware store to have it cut and they were reluctant to do it due to concerns about liability since I hadn't bought it from them. I once assured the seller that I only paid $9 for the key here at Revain and that I wouldn't be upset if they ruined it, they cut it for me. Is free. As soon as I got home I looked everywhere for the right sequence to program it. I've seen many different recipes but absolutely none of them worked. Finally, after about two hours of absolute frustration, I happened upon the recipe below. It worked on the first try! I am very happy with this $9 purchase! The following recipe I present at work and on the tundra: 1) Close all doors 2) Insert your master key (black) into the key cylinder 3) Within 15 seconds, turn the ignition from lock to on 5 times - exit for the 5th time turn the key to the ON position4) Open and close the driver's door 6 times within 20 seconds5) Turn the master key back to the Lock position and remove it6) Insert a new blank key and turn it to the ON7 position ) Leave it in the ON position for at least 60 seconds (until the key is registered in the vehicle) 8) Remove the key after 60+ seconds. 9) Open and close the driver's door to complete the process.

Pros
  • This key needs to be cut and programmed at the dealer or auto repair shop.
Cons
  • Amazing piggy bank
