Initial thoughts were that the packaging looked a bit sketchy. You never know what quality you'll get if it's still in the original packaging from China. When all the fake Nangoya is pumped out, you never know what you're going to get. After installing the antenna I found that the reception on my uv82 was better than the standard duck antenna. Also a good boost for my transmit signals. Local repeaters say I came loud and clear. This antenna proved to be a great build and also a great option if you don't want to rock an extended pole for everyday use. One star deducted because of imperfect screw connection. Quality control probably doesn't look at them under a microscope. I'm just picky at this point lol. A great, cheaper option if you're looking to upgrade your standard equipment.
