Died after 14 months of use. I spent extra money on a "better" product hoping to avoid this situation. I've bought several Netgear routers that have failed in a year or less. I stopped buying Netgear products many years ago after many setbacks (I own a computer service and repair business). I decided to give them a second chance and regretted it. Their switches seem reliable but avoid their routers. Edit: After further research, just avoid all Netgear routers. I've noticed MANY people have had the same problem with this router since it was released. It seems that when guest WiFi is turned on, all WiFi channels drop out, even with the latest firmware. Each channel is turned off every few minutes for periods ranging from a few seconds to many seconds. Disabling the guest wireless network and turning the router off and on sometimes helps fix this problem, but re-enabling guest access and it becomes unstable again. I had an R6400 that lost the 2.4GHz channel every few weeks. The only way to get it back was to turn it off too hard. On a decent router this is not necessary. Again, the latest firmware did not solve the problem. Again, many people have experienced the same problem. You can google these symptoms and see how many people have these problems. Just avoid Netgear routers.
