Fits snugly on 47.50 Wiseco pistons. At least in my case, the ring doesn't need to be broken. Because the Wiseco piston is forged and machined from a single block, it is stronger than a cast piston. In theory, if you're on a tight budget, you could just get by with a new set of rings and gaskets and skip the piston! However, there are many variables. Racers will tell you to change the piston every race or every 20 hours. Racers and pawns will tell you to only change worn things like a ring. I don't think anyone in the industry has a better piston/ring combination than Wiseco. Depending on the lower kits, however, opinions tend to differ. If Wiseco would like to send me one of these for abuse I will not refuse and will give an honest review. Your mileage may vary!
