I bought this for my wife to take on a hike in the mountains. She really liked the way it looked and sat together with the lightweight material. Today was the first day that it rained and poured. Excitedly she put it on and walked down the walkway to the shower room. When she returned, the entire upper half of her body was wet. Not that waterproof. I'll probably buy her another brand with a lining so she doesn't get wet. I'm sure this jacket works great in light rain or fog, but when it's really down and you can count on it to keep you dry, not so much.
