This case is pretty good, especially for the price. ProtectionProtects the back of the iPad from scratches that can occur in everyday use. The case also has raised bevels to protect the buttons from being pressed when the case is resting on a surface. The cover provides good screen protection from scratches. The body plastic is hard but also a bit soft. It can be good for very light shots as it has little power to absorb and distribute. A slight impact can look like over-lowering. But this plastic is also easy to scratch - so easily that if you scratch it with your fingernail, you can leave a light mark. This notch might become less noticeable as it wears down a bit, but it's definitely there. If you have long nails or use it in an environment with many edges, it may damage the case. Magnet on the lid The magnet on the lid correctly turns the iPad screen off when it's closed and also turns the screen on when it's open. Not all cases get it right, but this case does. Thanks to the magnet system, the lid can also be folded into a triangle that can serve as a stand. It works out. But it's slightly less durable than the Apple cover triangle and can sometimes fall apart when dragged across a surface. A simple fix is to just not drag the device and triangle. Lift it all the way to move and reinstall. Material The case is made of good material. The cover is not cheap rubber. It's easy to erase. This material rolls up and covers the plastic case. It looks glued on. It doesn't appear to delaminate, but I would keep it away from prolonged exposure to sunlight and warm touch surfaces. The body plastic is hard but also a bit soft.
