I live in Florida, and I needed a new pair of "dress" flipflops for going out. The listing of these looked like they met the bill, so I gave them a try. I opted for the black ones, as the black upper goes with darker shorts or jeans and the tan base goes with the rest.I'd recommend getting a size bigger than your normal show size. I normally wear a 10, but I got these in 11, which fits perfect. I always order flipflops that way, just to make sure the back extends enough beyond my heel. These do fit a bit tight, but it is not uncomfortable at all. They actually cling to my feet when I walk, so they almost seem like shoes, and are better for walking than something that fits too loose, so the tightness is a benefit, to me. They have a gel sole, so they cushion nicely as I walk, so no sore feet even walking around outdoors. These are machine washable, which I had never thought of in shows, but a good idea. My feet tend to sweat (this is Florida, and it gets hot), and all my flipflops eventually start to smell a bit offensive. It says you can just toss these in the machine (on low) and let them air dry.At less than $20 a pair, these are cheaper than any other flipflops I have, and are of equal (or better) quality, so they are a good buy and a recommended item.
