I used this in my chicken incubator. The birds get very warm in there. Our chickens are in heat. When you receive the chickens, they need to be heated to 90 degrees. The light is always on and it's warm. Works as it should. I ended up buying an infrared ceramic lamp that heats up without light. eyes have some darkness. It also helped them fall asleep in the dark. So the red light warms them up nicely, but gives them a reason to stay awake at all times. I still have the heat lamp and the irrigation.
