To be honest it exceeded expectations.

It's big, durable (I carry a lot of things for work in it including a 40 oz water bottle, a lunch tote and a few small bags with a zipper with stuff) and so cute. My only complaint is that there are no pockets. It's just a big, simple bag. But the lack of pockets doesn't affect how much I love this item. The strap is a thick rope. I use it almost every day as I have received it without any problems so far.
