Review on No Tox Life Dish Washing Block Soap - Zero Waste, Dye-Free, Fragrance-Free by Rebecca Dillard

Glad I tried it but won't be buying it again

Due to its eco-friendliness the packaging is limited and paper based which I appreciate. However, be careful when opening as the tiles leave a lot of crumbs that can easily become airborne and onto surfaces when the packaging is opened. The bar is chalk white. After several uses, the strip shows an almost clear center (see fig.). When I first started using the bar it took me a few times with the cloth to get enough soap to feel like it would be enough to wash a dish. Now that I've reached that clear middle, I don't have to move much to get enough soap for a sink full of dishes. I'm wondering if the center is critical to bar performance? After not using the strip for a month, the transparent center remains transparent, so the chalky white surface does not appear to be due to the drying effect. As other users have mentioned, there is a noticeable drying effect on your skin. I may have less sensitive skin so I haven't experienced much dryness and skin damage. However, I have never experienced such a hand-drying effect with any other dishwashing detergent, whether environmentally friendly or not. I found that this remedy does not remove fat well. Seems pointless if I have to use another dishwashing detergent with any amount of grease. For this reason alone I will not buy this product again.

Cons
