Packed in my checked baggage as the instructions say. They had no trouble getting on the ship. I see people saying they don't work. Based on that story, it looks like they tried to drag her in there. If you check in checked baggage it works. There are too many checked bags for them to open and check for alcohol. Now if your bag goes through an x-ray and you see a picture of a knife or other weapon, they will open and inspect, but they will not open every suitcase that shows an x-ray of a shampoo bottle. Just not for a fee, passengers would never get baggage if that was the case. Put it in your bag, though, and as soon as the x-ray shows the bottles, they'll take a look. So I repeat the instructions, put the luggage in the suitcase and enjoy.
